花東mission

I went for a Mission Trip from 3rd Oct.~5th Oct. with other 6 church members who attended the mission class and one Japaness who was in the OM Dolus ship with Lesley.

After work/school, we gathered together in the church at 10p.m. Friday night.

Pastor blessed us and then we went to the station to take a 11:39p.m. train from Chi-du to Hui-lian Yu-li.

Thank God that everyone of us got the seats! Surley we wanted to sleep....but the train was just like a icebox! It was too cold for us to sleep well...we brought out all our clothing even tower and cap to cover up ourselves from cold...hahaha!

Finally, we arrived our destination-HuaLina Yuli! It was 4:3? a.m.

The sky was still dark, but the weather outside was much wamer, thank God!

Walking out of the train station, we stood in one place and gave thanksgiving to God, just as Abrahan, bulit an altar when got the place.

We found a chinese breakfast shop to eat. Our leader Lesley asked the boss of that shop about the places we wanted to go and the bikes we can rent...........

what the boss replied us was totally different from what Lesley has planed and told!

the places we wanted to go was very far away from here, we coulndn't reach them by bikes, and, there was no shop for us to rent bikes!

Great! It was a chance for us to experience "faith mission"!

after the breakfast, sun has raised up. We went out to seek somewhere for our morning devotion time, then we saw one church!

The church was also helding the morning prayer from 6-7 am.

We sat outside and Yiyi lead us worship and read the Bible. and we had a small interesting game. also practiced some evanglism skills

While playing the game, the pastor of that church came out and greeted us, asked about our schedule, and then he said that he will ask his staff to drive us to the mountian which is one of our mission places.

Wow! God just answerd our prayers so quickly!! All of us were just so moved!

The pastor invited us to their church and asked the brothers&sisters to pray for us.

We experience the true love---give without expecting reback from others.

The sence in Huilian was just so beautiful! Hualian is known of the most beautiful place in Taiwan, thank God that I visited here!

It took almost 1 hour to our destanation--Mountian Ci-ke.

God was just merciful to us, we could never ride bikes to there!

With passion and expectation, we started to looking for someone to share Gospel with. Our goal was to have 21 souls got saved.

We saw one family, and went into and shared the Gospel with 2 kids, they invited Jesus into their hearts! Praise God!

and we kept walking......walking......walking....

But....the place was just so empty....everywhere...green....tress, flowers, butterflies...and dogs.

all of were tired and hungry, it was only 10 am, but we felt it was already afternoon! becos we've been awake for a long time. hehe.

We came back to the resturant. Enjoyed the lunch, great and healty lunch!

and we decied to go to the next place--our hotel.

It also took 1 hour by car from the mountian to the hotel....thank God that we didn't ride bikes!

During that one hour....all of us just slept just like we died! hehehe

Thank God! The hotel host told us that there was a tour spot which have many people there about 20 minutes distant by bike. and the hotel offered bikes free. Praise God!

8 of us refreshed from the lunch and 1 hour dead sleep:P

We rode bikes and wanted to get Ba-sian Dong.becos we thought that there will be many people for us to share Gospel with.

15 minutes later...we met some people and the shared the Gospel with them, but their attitude was not serious...we still blessed them and went on our riding. they said Ba-sian Dong is very near, just ride a little time we can get it.

Then....20 minutes later....we saw one lonely old man sat on the wheel chiar on the road side, we talked with him and prayed for him. All of us got some view from him about the meaning of preaching the Gospel....to feel people's heart and love them.

and then we kept riding....21 souls, we need to get 21 souls!

It was raining a little....20 minutes? we've already rode 1 hour....still only the sea and trees....

Finally we got the place! and it was already 5 pm! we rode for almost 2 and half hours! The sky was going to bec0me dark soon and there were no road lights.

and the tour side was full of idol statues....

Lesley said that we just prayed and then we should start going back becos the sky is going to be dark soon.

We were tired and confused and disappointed that we didn't reach any souls there.

But we still enjoy in God's presence and podering all these things happened.

We didn't stop on the road, so we got the hotel after 1 hour.

We rode for 30 minutes to 7-11 for buying our dinner and back.

After eating and took shower, we worshiped and read Bible and shared together.

Peipei shared the book of John...(i forgot where) :p
talking about Jesus cried.
He cried for his love, and cried for the people lack of faith.

We had a sound sleep......

Early in the morning, we packed all our bags and dressed well to go for the Sunday service.
Thank God that we arrived the Ark Church peacefully and early.
I led the devotion time, worshipped and read 1 John 4:7-12 and 1 Cor 13:1-8
about "Love"

Love comes from God. God is Love.
we had good time of sharing.
For my own part, I learnd the lesson and I got to understand that why my daddy told me one time: "Daughter, you love God so much, but you need to know that God loves you more much."
That time i thought that i know God loves me, why my daddy said so.
I understand now.
becos i always think that i need to "do" something to prove that i love God. and I preach the Gospel to "prove" that i love God.
BUT, GOD IS LOVE. GOD IS THE MAIN ROLE. NOT ME.
Love is not proud. when I see my self as the main role( I need to do..) that's pride, and that's not true love. I can't share the true Gospel without love. People can see God through me if God lives in me and I live out the life of love, that's living Gospel!
Thank God for this big lesson.

We sung a song of "Sending Me" in the church.
the church is aboriginal church, so they speak the native language.
We couldn't understand, but the pastor was so nice that he interpreted into Chinese. hehe
His preaching also talked about 1 Cor 13. Thank God.

Its time to go home!
Not easy we got to Hualian Railway Station.
We ate our lunch box in the train and stood all the trip back to home.
Thank God for this short short term mission.
It seems like 1 week long....hehe. all of us were tired in body but our hearts were full of thanksgiving for GOD's LOVE.

GOD IS LOVE. LOVE NEVER FAILS... :)
